How much do removalists cost in Melbourne?
We charge $105 an hour for two movers and a truck, excluding GST, with a 2-hour minimum and a 30-minute call-out. Most 2 bedroom moves take 4–6 billable hours. The quote form shows your estimate instantly, including stairs, packing and any extras.
How does the instant quote work?
Answer a few questions about your move: size, distance, stairs, big items and the date. The estimate updates as you go. When you send it, we call you within 2 business hours to confirm the price and book the truck.
Is the online price final?
It’s an estimate based on your answers. We confirm the crew, truck and price on the phone before moving day. If the move turns out to be very different from what you described, we agree any change with you before we continue.
What is the call-out fee?
A fixed 30 minutes at your hourly rate, added to every move. It covers the drive from our depot to your first address and back. Driving time between your two addresses is part of the job.
Do you charge extra for stairs?
Yes: $30 per flight of stairs, at each address. A booked lift is $20, a long carry over 25 metres $30, and difficult parking $25 per address.
Do you work weekends and public holidays?
Yes, seven days a week, 7am to 7pm. Saturdays add $10/hr, Sundays $20/hr and Victorian public holidays $35/hr.
Are prices GST inclusive?
Prices on this website exclude GST. GST (10%) is added on your invoice, and the quote form shows your estimate both with and without GST.
What do I need to do before the movers arrive?
Book any lift or loading dock, arrange parking if you can, defrost the fridge, empty drawers of fragile things, and keep valuables, medicines and documents with you. Boxes should be sealed and not too heavy to lift.
Can you clean the old place too?

How much do house removalists cost in Melbourne?
We charge $105 an hour for two movers and a truck, plus GST, with a 2-hour minimum and a 30-minute call-out. A 2 bedroom house usually takes 3–5 hours; a 3 bedroom house with three movers usually 5–7. The quote form shows your estimate instantly.
How many movers do I need?
Two movers suit most homes up to 2 bedrooms. We recommend three movers for 3–4 bedroom homes and four for larger homes. More movers cost more per hour but finish sooner, so the total is often similar.
Do you charge for travel?
Every job has a fixed 30-minute call-out for travel to and from our depot. Driving time between your two addresses is part of the job and is included in the estimate.
Do you move on weekends?
Yes, seven days a week. Saturday adds $10/hr, Sunday $20/hr and public holidays $35/hr. The form picks the right rate from your date.
Can you take apart and put back together beds and wardrobes?
Yes. Disassembly and reassembly is $25 per item. Tell us how many items in the quote form.
Apartment Removals
Do I need to book the lift?
Usually, yes. Most apartment buildings need the lift and loading dock booked with building management. Tell us the time slot and we’ll plan the job around it. A booked lift adds a small fee because of the extra coordination and padding.
How much does it cost to move a 1 bedroom apartment in Melbourne?
Most 1 bedroom apartments take 2.5–3.5 hours with two movers, including the call-out and a short drive, at $105/hr plus GST. Stairs, lift bookings and parking change the price, and the quote form shows your estimate as you answer.
What if there’s nowhere for the truck to park?
Tell us in the form. Difficult parking adds $25 per address, and a long carry over 25 metres adds $30. Some councils let you apply for a temporary parking permit, which helps keep the cost down.
Can you move us on a weekend when the building allows moves?
Yes. Many buildings only allow moves at certain times, including weekends. Weekend rates apply: Saturday +$10/hr, Sunday +$20/hr.
Office Removals
Can you move our office after hours?
Yes. Evening and weekend moves are common for offices, so your team loses as little working time as possible. Weekend rates apply.
Do you move computers and servers?
We move boxed computers, monitors and printers carefully. Servers and network equipment should be disconnected, packed and reconnected by your IT provider.
How do you price a large office move?
Offices with 16 or more desks are quoted after a walk-through or video call, because access, floor plans and timing vary a lot. Smaller offices get an instant estimate online.
Do you supply crates and boxes?
We supply cartons at $4 each. Tell us how many you need in the quote form.
Furniture Removals
Is there a minimum charge?
Yes: 2 hours plus a 30-minute call-out, so $262.50 plus GST for two movers and a truck on a weekday.
Can you pick up something I bought on Facebook Marketplace?
Yes. Put the pickup and delivery suburbs in the form, and check the seller can help us access the item at the agreed time.
Can you move items into a storage unit?
Yes. Choose “Storage unit” as the property type and tell us if the unit is upstairs or needs a lift.
Piano Removals
How much does it cost to move a piano in Melbourne?
An upright piano is a $150 piano fee plus our hourly rate ($105/hr for two movers and a truck, 2-hour minimum plus call-out, GST extra). Stairs add $30 a flight. Grand pianos are quoted separately.
Can you move a piano up stairs?
Yes, in most homes. Tell us the number of flights at each end and whether the stairs turn. Very tight or spiral stairs may need a site check or photos first.
Do you tune pianos?
No. Pianos usually need tuning two to three weeks after a move; we can suggest local tuners.
Packing Services
How long does packing take?
Roughly 4–6 packer-hours for a 2 bedroom home and 6–8 for 3 bedrooms, depending on how full it is. Two packers halve the clock time.
Can I buy boxes without packing?
Yes. Add cartons ($4), port-a-robes ($15) and mattress covers ($10) in the quote form, and we’ll bring them on the day or drop them off beforehand.
Is packing insured?
Items we pack are handled with care, and damage we cause is dealt with under our terms. Transit insurance for the value of your goods can be quoted on request.
Interstate & Regional Removals
How much do interstate removalists cost?
It depends on the distance, the size of the move and the dates. We quote each interstate or regional move individually; fill in the form and we’ll call you with a price.
Do you do regional Victoria?
Yes, including Geelong, Ballarat, Bendigo, the Surf Coast and Gippsland. Moves over 80 km are quoted rather than charged hourly.
Can I get transit insurance?
Yes. Tick the insurance box in the quote form and we’ll include an insurance quote.
